They got extinct after that. It is believed that when you go to Bahamas Islands and visit the forests of Andros you should have bright colored clothes as well as colorful flowers with you. They will please Chickcharnies. Seeing a Chickcharnies is considered good and if you show respect to them they will bring you good luck. It is believed that do not dare to scoff at them, you head might just get a turn.
The Legends of Lusca
Lusca are said to be dangerous creatures who feed on flesh. According to the history legends of the Bahamas Island, one needs to be careful when you are exploring the blue holes around the Island of Andros. The blue holes are filled with sea creatures and the divers and people involved in water activities are prone to accidents in these blue holes.
