Barracks Hill in Harbour Island, Bahamas

On Grant and Nesbitt Streets is found Barracks Hill in Harbour Island, Bahamas. Barracks Hill served as a home for soldiers employed by the East India House of London from 1786 to 1797. These soldiers kept Harbour Island safe before the Police Act was passed in the Bahamas.
