Temperance Square in Harbour Island, Bahamas
: A Memorial for Sobriety
Temperance Square in Harbour Island, Bahamas was so named because it was the gathering place of people coming from all denominations and unifying for one cause, which is the prevalence of the Temperance Movement of 1932. This Temperance Movement came from a law ratified in the United States that banned the manufacture and sale of intoxicating drinks.
