The Obelisk in Harbour Island, Bahamas is a monument that commemorates the work of Dr. Thomas W. Johnson as the island’s very first family doctor and justice of the peace. A graduate of Harvard College in Massachusetts, Dr. Johnson went back to Harbour Island after getting his MD and specialized in the use of natural herbal medicines to cure illnesses.
