The Fig Tree Park in Harbour Island, Bahamas

The Fig Tree Park in Harbour Island, Bahamas is where seamen, farmers and other local folk gather to chat about their daily lives. The fig tree for which the park was named no longer stands there, however. After standing there for almost eight decades, it was uprooted and destroyed by Hurricane Andrew in August 1992.
